Tips to Apply Mascara

If you’ve never applied Mascara before, you may think that there is really not much to it. The truth of the matter is that applying Mascaras can be fairly complicated, and if you aren’t careful, not only will you make a huge mess – on your face – but you will also miss the look that you were going for. The first thing to do is to get info on where Mascara should be applied for the type of eyes that you have. Eye Makeup Tips

It’s great to use a three-toned shadow and build from lids to brow. Allowing them to blend into each other like a rainbow is gorgeous, according to celebrity makeup artist Mally Roncal. Use a brush
Brushes are great for applying those powdery eye shadows. Make sure to invest in different brushes – the harder ones with a defined tip will help you get straight lines and fluffier ones will do great for blending in colours for that sassy smoky-eye look.

Do not overdo your lashes
Lashes beckon, lashes trick, lashes clump and lashes stick. Keep that mascara at bay – if you need to make your lashes longer, not thicker, apply the mascara only on the tips of the lashes, if you want to get a fluffier look, then go all length, but don’t load your lashes with mascara – you’ll get a heavy, clumpy mess instead of those 100000 lashes.

Avoid dark colours on the bottom lid
Dark bottom lids do not work, try to avoid dark shades on the bottom lid or you’ll end up looking like you have dark circles under eyes or you have been crying. When applying lined on your bottom lid, make sure not to make it totally black, go for brown for a more natural look.

Bigger eyes
Eyepoppin` or just enough to drown a certain somebody. If you want to visually make your eyes bigger – accentuate them, also, curl your lashes. Don’t bend them too strongly though, and don’t curl them at the middle.

Falsies
False lashes are perfect for that glamorous evening look; however make sure that you stick them as close to your real lash line as possible, otherwise you’ll be sporting a double-decker of lashes.

Moisturize!
The skin on the lips is very fine and thin, it tends to dry out, so it is advisable that you repair that lip skin before applying lipstick or your lips will look a mess. Pick the right tone for you

Lipstick can flake if it your lips are too dry or if the lipstick itself is too dry - the case with matte lipsticks. It is advisable to use primer over your lips in order to avoid flaking, also, use moisturizer for your lips to keep them smooth and soft.

Line your lips
Lip liner is a great invention, however make sure to get one that matches your lipstick or lip color, otherwise you are in for a disaster. Make sure to draw out the contour of your lips and not try to make them look fuller by drawing over the line.

Fill your lips
You cannot achieve fuller lips by painting them bigger, so what to do? Use vibrant lipstick that is not very dark. Vibrant lipstick will emphasize your lips, avoid darker colors because, much as they are slimming on your waist, they will also slim your lips and that is not what you want, right?

Lip brush
If possible, use a brush for applying your lipstick – this way it will stay on longer and you can achieve a more distinguished outline, just don’t go overboard with the amount.

Matte lips? Not a problem
You want that chique matte look yet you do not want to dry your lips? Take a piece of thin napkin and gently put it to your painted lips, then apply some powder with a soft powder brush on the surface, and voila!

Control the lipstick
You seem to have used a bit too much of it but you do not want to wipe it and start anew? Use a napkin – put it between your lips and press gently – you’ll love the result.

Don’t forget to reapply
Lipstick tends to fade from your lips over time, make sure you have that tube handy, to reapply the lipstick when necessary – for those perfect, kissable lips.

Although all are called by the same name, brown eyes have different shades. This is the characteristic feature of your eyes you can base your color choice on. The rule is that you should use the opposite colors to enhance and brighten your eyes irises. If your eyes have orange tinge, try blue eye shadows. If they are lighter and yellowish, purple is the color for the shadow.

Light or dark colors
If you have brown eyes, you’re lucky, because you can use either light or dark colors on your lids. Remember that not only the shade of your eyes is important when you choose the color, but also its shape. Light colors highlight and make eyes look bigger, dark colors accentuate, but also minimize. If you have small, brown eyes, use dark colors in the outer corners of your eyes and bright colors in the inner corners and near your brows.

Coherent palette of colors
It’s a general rule for make-up, important whichever color you decide on. If you're making a daytime makeup, use colors from one family, but don't make a monochromatic makeup (don’t use only one color on each part of your face). Combine muted colors of eye shadows with muted lipstick and rouge, bright and shiny eye shadows with the same equivalent for cheeks and lips. Eyeliner to make your look even deeper
